Weekly check

My Sunday night check up has actually turned into Monday Morning this week! I'm sure nobody minds though... Some people have uploaded a lot to their blog this week but some people haven't added very much and are rather behind! Friday is the dealine for the pre-lim task, so your cover, contents and evaluation should all be well on the way to be finished
Remember: THERE WILL BE NO EXTENSION TO THE DEADLINE!!
My blogger of the week is Katie Carter - well done!

Weekly review

At the end of week two, most people have made really good progress on their blogs. Blogger of the week is James Carolan - well done! As we start week three you should now be designing your pages using a combination of photoshop and InDesign. If you haven't yet taken your photographs you must do so asap.
A few people are a little behind on their action plans, you must make sure you are doing prep work every weekend to keep up to date.
Have a good week and I look forward to seeing your designs posted soon

Sunday Night Check Up

Having spent a week on the blogs so far it is clear to see that some people are up to date or even ahead on their action plan - well done! For those of you behind (and there's only a few) you need to be more productive this week and catch up!
Great blogging this week from Stan - well done. I'll be looking out for top bloggers every week.
Can everyone make sure they have spell checked their posts - including titles- and correct any errors.
Also re-read textual analysis and make sure you have used enough subject specific language.
Finally, remember that you need to leave enough time for your designs - research must be completed quickly to leave you enough time to draft your work

Comments

I am having trouble posting comments to your blogs. I've been trying to fill in your questionnaires but it is proving difficult. As soon as I get the problem sorted I'll let you know. In the meantime, please make sure you have enabled comments on your blog and that you have checked what restrictions you have
Thanks

Good progress so far

Despite a few initial problems most people seem to be happily blogging away. If you're in danger of forgetting your login details make sure you jot them down somewhere secure. Don't forget to use your glossary of terms to help you with textual analysis and there are plenty of examples of magazine analysis in the various textbooks in class. Just ask if you need any help!

How to take good photographs

Above is a short video showing how to take better photographs that you might find useful. Photography is one of the areas you will need to research in order to make sure your photos are the best they can be - remember the photographs will really make the final design.
I have also included this to show you how easy it is to embed video into your blog. Just find your chosen video on Youtube and copy the "embed code" then paste the code into the "edit html" tab when you are composing a new post. Finally publish your post as normal.

Blog Hub

Now that all the blogs are linked together on this central page you can easily access each others' work and see what everyone is up to! I've also added a few extra links to other centres where the blogs have been recommended by the exam board, so if you get stuck or need inspiration have a look at the links opposite.
Well done to everyone for making a good start, I look forward to seeing how your blogs develop in the next few weeks :)
